In the evening we meet together for a drink before sharing a meal in one of Colle's great restaurants.

Day 2 San Gimignano, perhaps one of the most photogenic towns in Italy, is our destination today. We take an early morning drive to beat the crowds and once inside the walls you will have time to independently browse through the old streets and possibly do some shopping. After rejoining the group for lunch our walk takes us back to Colle. Our route takes us through varied terrain along farm lanes, through woods, across streams and beside vineyards. It takes about 2 hours leaving plenty of time for you to enjoy the late afternoon atmosphere of Colle di Val d'Elsa.

This walk takes us through a mix of woods, farmland and olive groves visiting the Abaddia d'Isola before we arriving at Monteriggioni, a fortified town originally built in 1219, whose walls inspired Dante to write about them in the Inferno. We enjoy a luncheon break before completing the walk. We return to Colle by public bus.

En route we lunch together in the quaint town of Monticchiello before completing our walk through the rolling hills that surround the town. Later in the day there is a visit to the hot springs of Bagno Vignoni where there is an opportunity to bathe your tired feet in the famous Roman hot springs. After a short siesta the group gathers to enjoy a meal together.
